HP-118

The HP-118 is a high-efficiency ported subwoofer featuring a single 18-inch driver. It offers a frequency range of 30Hz to 200Hz (-10dB) and is designed to complement the HP series full-range speakers or other similar series. Its purpose is to extend the low-frequency response of sound reinforcement systems.

Utilizing a high-power low-frequency driver with a 4-inch (100mm) voice coil from Precision Devices. The HP-118 port design and large exit area significantly reduces the typical airflow noise associated with conventional low-frequency cabinet designs during dynamic operation, enhancing the efficiency of the tuned ports output. This results in increased energy output in the ultra-low-frequency range and reduced low-frequency nonlinear distortion. The high transient low-frequency driver strikes a perfect balance between power and delivery in the low frequency domain.

HP-118, boasting a 1000W AES power rating can achieve an impressive peak sound pressure level of 132dB.

Featuring two recessed wooden handles on each side of the enclosure for convenient stacking or transportation. The enclosure’s bottom is equipped with four rubber feet, while the top yields four footpad recesses, facilitating easy stacking of subwoofers for array configurations. The enclosure’s surface is coated with a durable black water-based semi-gloss paint, and it is constructed using 18mm plywood.

The black perforated iron grille is lined with acoustic fabric, effectively safeguarding the speaker unit while preventing the accumulation of moisture and dust.
